Until further notice, our kids and student ministries will be happening remotely.

For Kids birth-5th grade, we are providing Bible lessons and facilitating opportunities to connect virtually. Please follow our Real Hope NextGen Facebook page to stay in the loop and participate in our kids' ministry.

Our Students (6th-12th grade) gather for The Crossing each Wednesday evening at 7:00pmFor the moment, this is done remotely via Zoom. At The Crossing, students will experience engaging worship, games, discussions with their peers, and relevant messages about how their faith in God intersects with their everyday life. Text the keyword 'crossing' to 281-771-0997 and we'll loop you into communication about how to be a part of The Crossing. You can also follow our Instagram Page.

In the Real Hope Kids Ministry, our leaders are equipped to lead, engage, and teach children in an age appropriate environment.  Your child will experience biblically relevant lessons, games, and engaging small group activities. It is our hope that each lesson and activity will help your child uncover the wonder of God and develop a desire to discover more about Him.

All of our team members have been through nationwide background checks as well as extensive training to provide a safe and secure environment for your child.

You can be confident that from the time you check in your child to the time you pick them up they will be in a safe, secure, and loving environment.

Where to go

Each Sunday we will have team members available to direct your family through our check-in process as well as to your child's classroom. Check-in will begin at both Kid's Ministry archways 15 minutes before the Sunday Service begins.

We use an electronic check-in system in order to ensure the safety of your children. When checking in your child, they will receive a child tag with a code that only matches your parent tag. If it is your first time, you will be asked to fill out some basic information before receiving a tag for your child. Click below to fill out the form before your visit.

The goal of our Student Ministry at Real Hope is for every student to encounter the Gospel and learn how to use their unique gifts to serve those around them.

SUNDAY MORNINGS (Junior High + High School)

Our 6th-12th graders meet at 10am on Sunday mornings at the same time as our adult service.  We have engaging group discussions, fun games, and biblical teaching on a variety of subjects that matter to students.

Our High School students also meet in small groups on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm. This is a great opportunity for students to get to know each other over some pizza and games, and talk about how we can grow in our faith and impact the community around us..

To keep up with other Student ministry events (meet-ups, service projects, camps, trips etc.), follow our Next Gen Facebook page!

We desire to be a church that not only teaches the gospel to our kids and students, but also equips parents to do the same at home. We recommend the books below as resources that will help you shape your child's understanding of God and proactively address the tough questions about faith that will inevitably come.

Parenting Beyond Your Capacity

In Parenting Beyond Your Capacity, Reggie Joiner and Carey Nieuwhof help parents discover a bigger story in which to involve their family, one in which multiple influential voices combine in order to tell kids the same thing: that a relationship with God really matters. Parenting Beyond Your Capacity can help parents establish a lifestyle in which they:

  • Invite others to invest in their children to help shape and determine the direction of their lives.
  • Create a culture of unconditional love to fuel the emotional and moral health of their children.
  • Tap into the power of quality moments together, building a sense of purpose through everyday experiences.

The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible

How do you explain the gospel to toddlers and preschoolers? In The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible, author Jared Kennedy traces God’s perfect promises through fifty-two Old and New Testament stories, retold in simple and compelling ways with toddlers and preschoolers in mind. Each gospel-centered story highlights God’s tale of redemption through Jesus and the unexpected and surprising ways that God’s grace and mercy are revealed throughout the Bible.

Children will hear the good news of God’s love for them clearly expressed in ways that will speak to their young hearts. Brightly colored illustrations highlight the stories and add fun teaching elements of counting, opposites, patterns, and object recognition to keep even the youngest child’s attention. Every story also ends with a question that parents and caregivers can use to further reinforce the message.

Show Them Jesus

Millions of church kids are growing up and deciding to leave the church. They listened attentively in church, made friends, and seemed committed. But one day, they quit. What happened? The Bible says we love God because he first loved us. So if we are not primarily teaching our kids about God's love for us in Christ, we may miss our opportunity to capture their hearts. But what does it look like to teach our kids the gospel? With a simple framework and lots of real-life examples, Show Them Jesus helps parents and sunday school teachers to identify and communicate the heart of the gospel to children in ways they will understand and remember.

Can I Ask That?: 8 Hard Questions about God and Faith

Teenagers are tired of vague, superficial, or nonexistent answers to their tough questions about God, the Bible, and Christianity. Just when they’re capable of diving into the deep end of their faith, all too often the church keeps them splashing around in shallow waters. As eight years of Sticky Faith research has shown, it’s not doubt or hard questions that are toxic to faith. It’s silence.

Designed for use alongside the Can I Ask That Leader Guide, these eight sessions tackle the following tough questions: What is the Bible, anyway? Why does the Bible contradict itself? Can I be a Christian and believe in evolution? Does God discriminate against women? Is Jesus really the only way to God? What does the Bible say about being gay? Does God endorse violence? And, How can I follow a God who would let Christians do such bad things?

Whether you've never asked these questions before or you've been aching for the chance, this guide is meant to be a starting point for each conversation. Go ahead. You can ask that.

Can I Ask That? (Volume 2): More Hard Questions About God & Faith

Designed for use alongside the Can I Ask That Volume 2 Leader Guide, these six sessions tackle the following tough questions: Is it wrong to doubt God? Is hell real? How could God send someone there? Can I do something so bad God won't forgive me? Why do bad things happen to good people? Is sex outside marriage wrong? Why is it so awkward to talk about Jesus with my friends?
